Privatize your sailboat, from La Rochelle
On board a friendly and efficient boat, accessible to the whole family, you will be able to participate in the safe progress of the boat, under the supervision of a state-qualified skipper: take the helm and follow a course, learn about the wind, the tides, adjust the sails, participate in manoeuvres.
We will sail through the Antioch Channel: Fort Boyard and the island of Aix to the south, the island of Ré to the north, and finally the island of Oléron to the west.
Numerous human activities have taken advantage of this diversity of landscapes and it is not uncommon to come across fishermen, trawlers, cargo ships, and possibly a few gulls, terns or cormorants on our route…

a keelboat, the “Kelt marine” of 6.20m, ideal to discover sailing.
For groups or individuals, our partner yachts from 7 meters to 12 meters.

Full autonomy
A solid, structured training programme covering all the basics you need to sail independently. Rapid progress and relevant teaching content.

Theory :
– Familiarise yourself with reading maps, GPS and tide tables
– Define the navigation area based on weather conditions and water levels
– Be comfortable with priorities, buoyage, safety messages (VHF/ASN) and regulations
– Fluid flow on planes (aerodynamics, hydrodynamics)
Practical:
– Preparing the yacht
– Adjusting the sails according to different courses
– Sailing manoeuvres
– Taking in the mainsail, anchoring
– Reducing sail area
– Emergency stopping
– Rescuing a man overboard
– Seamanship
– Harbour manoeuvres
The training takes place on two sailboats of different sizes:
– A 6.20 metre Kelt Marine with an outboard motor
– A 8.50 metre ETAP 28 with an inboard motor

Stéphane is an experienced sailor, whose primary concern is the safety of the men and women on board the boat, and of the boat itself.
An excellent teacher, he explains precisely why and how the boat reacts according to the helm, sail or engine manoeuvres.
He takes care to give everyone time to experience the boat’s reactions and gives clear indications on what to do or not to do.
As a connoisseur of the water around the island of Ré, Stéphane knows perfectly well which destination to choose in order to make the most of each outing in complete safety, depending on the wind, tide and currents.
I contacted Stéphane to see whether he could plan and manage a schedule that would keep all in my family happy.
The four days that we spent sailing were a triumph. Whilst i received expert coaching, Stéphane also ensured that my wife and my son were engaged in an enjoyable way.
Picnics by beautiful beaches and overnight stops in historic harbours with fantastic restaurants made it a memorable holiday for all.
